Uppsala Carnival of Cultures 2018: SKAnsen

If you’re looking for a fun free Spring festival that brings together many cultures in a cool Swedish city, come to Uppsala on 26 and 27 May for the Carnival of Cultures. It will be its 10th edition! We’ve enjoyed this festival very much the last couple of years and we cannot wait for it to be there again.

Therefore we start the party early here at Madebymagmar.com by bringing back some of the best moments. On stage this year on May 26th is SKAnsen with Ska music to make you move. The Uppsala band was founded in 2009 and as it is clear from its official band page (https://sv-se.facebook.com/SKAnsenofficial/) the group looks equally cool as before, and we are pretty sure it goes for the music as well.

The band setting has changed a bit since 2014 when we made these series, but we see many familiar faces (marked with an asterix) back on stage this May: Markus Spångberg (guitar)*, Alberto Catalán (base)*, Damon Wallin Fahimi (keyboard)*, Amelia Königsson (vocals / percussion)*, Dan-Erik Hallmans (trumpet)*, Filip Lindström (alt saxophone / tuba), Isabelle Söder (altsax)*, Lisa Petterson (trumpet). | MAGMAR |
